From the time I was a young girl, I’ve always felt that I can best convey my thoughts and emotions through writing. As soon as I could hold a pencil, I began writing stories and poems, and my love for the craft only blossomed as I grew older and gained more experience. I love to encourage and inspire others with my words and I'm blessed that I get the opportunity to do what I'm passionate about every day.

I am a freelance copywriter and editor with experience in content creation for the web, blog platforms, and social media. Some of my recent projects have included branded content, e-commerce descriptions, ghostwriting, biographical pieces, research/white papers, medical writing, email newsletters, curricula vitarum packages, marketing communications to include press reviews and email pitches, structural editing, social media marketing plans and management, sponsored content, and other original content for publication. If you’re interested in chatting about your project and partnering with me to make your vision a reality, or to inquire about writing samples and rates, please email me.

Content and Copywriting

I love being able to tell stories through my writing. Maybe that’s through a personal essay or branded content for mass publication. If you need help creating content or just polishing what you already have, I can help. I will take your vision and hone in on your voice, incorporating your brand personality, and craft content that shares your message authentically and organically. I’m happy to pitch ideas or take yours and run with them.

Editing Services

Articles, blog posts, personal essays, or manuscripts: whether you’re in the early stages of your project or have your final draft, editing is an important step in your publishing process. I work to center your voice and make sure that your brand message comes through in writing, as well as help polish each piece so that the story you are telling is concise and crisp. I offer structural editing, which takes a look at your document as a whole and evaluates the content and substance; content editing to ensure your voice, style, and tone are what you want to be portraying; proofreading to check for grammar, spelling, language and syntax errors; and line editing, which combines the proofreading aspect and checks for thematic cohesiveness.

Newsletter Design and Content

Access to the inbox is gold, but you can’t take it for granted. Let’s work together to design an email newsletter that incorporates your voice and brand message, encourages audience engagement, and doesn’t wind up in the trash bin, or worse yet, the spam folder. I have extensive experience with both MailChimp and Substack and I’d love to help you create a newsletter, whether it’s for marketing purposes or to share updates with your blog or social audience.

Social Media Consultancy/Management

I firmly believe that growing your social media presence depends on the community that you create there. Cultivating that community is based, partly, on the content you share, but also on engagement and the conversation you have with those who follow you. As part of my social media consultancy, I offer tailored research and content strategy, establishing your brand message, and campaign planning. I can also manage your social media platform, which includes content scheduling and engagement with your audience.

Accessibility Consultancy

Bernice King was quoted as saying, “If you don’t think representation matters, you’re probably well-represented.” One of my biggest missions is to make sure the content that I create is accessible to all, and that includes helping brand partnerships reach and speak to underrepresented communities. I can help you and your brand incorporate an accessibility policy and offer recommendations for brand images, content design, captioning, and alt descriptions, as well as provide a checklist for steps to take before publishing that article or social media post to ensure that it’s available and accessible to everyone.

Beta Reading

I accept select beta reading projects throughout the year. If you have a finished manuscript and would like constructive feedback from a reader’s perspective, including detailed notes on what works and what doesn’t, don't hesitate to get in touch with me to discuss in more detail. I’m happy to provide testimonials from authors with whom I’ve worked in the past.

Literary Reviews

I am currently reviewing a selection of books for various publishing houses and writing networks. If you want to send a book for review, please email to request the postal address. I do my best to review all books promptly, but if you have a specific review date requirement, please let me know upfront.

Some of the publishing houses I most frequently review for are: Penguin Random House, Hachette Book Group, Bethany House, Baker Publishing Group, and Workman Publishing Company. I also frequently review on Netgalley.
